What to check in the QC photos of accessories

Your agent photographs the item when it reaches the warehouse. This is the moment a problem is still cheap to fix. What QC means

  • Engravings and stamps

Fonts and spacing on engraved or stamped logos are where small items differ most. Ask for a close-up.

  • Hardware finish

Buckles and clasps should be evenly plated, without bubbles, scratches or discoloured edges.

  • Edges and stitching

On leather goods, look at edge paint and stitch spacing along the borders.

  • What is in the box

If dust bags, cards or boxes matter to you, check they are in the photos — and decide whether they are worth their volume.

Shipping accessories

Accessories are small and light, which makes them the easiest thing to add to a parcel you are already sending. Retail boxes, though, can take more space than the item.

FAQ

Accessories: questions people ask

Is it worth shipping one accessory on its own?

Rarely. International shipping has a minimum charge, so a single small item costs nearly as much to send as several. Add it to a bigger haul.

Can jewellery tarnish?

Plated jewellery can. Listings that state the base metal and plating are easier to judge; ask the seller if it is not stated.

Do accessories come with boxes?

Some listings include packaging and some offer it as an option. It adds volume to the parcel, so choose deliberately.
