China spreadsheet: sneakers

This is the sneaker page of the China spreadsheet: 291 pairs from Weidian and Taobao sellers, each with photos and a buy link at the agent you pick. Sneakers are the category where QC photos matter most — shape, stitching and glue are all visible in them — and where the box decides a surprising share of the shipping bill.

What to check in the QC photos of sneakers

Your agent photographs the item when it reaches the warehouse. This is the moment a problem is still cheap to fix. What QC means

  • Shape from the side

Compare the side profile with a retail photo: toe-box height, heel curve and the line of the midsole are where a pair looks off first.

  • Stitching and panels

Even stitch spacing, no doubled rows, panels meeting where they should. Ask for a close-up if a seam looks loose.

  • Glue around the sole

Some glue marks clean off; heavy smears along the midsole usually do not. Small and fixable is fine — just know which one it is.

  • Size tag and both shoes

Check that the size on the tag is the one you ordered, and that the photos show the left and the right shoe, not one shoe twice.

Shipping sneakers

Shoe boxes are bulky for what they weigh, and freight is charged on the larger of real and volumetric weight. Most agents let you ship without the box or with it flattened; if you do not need it, say so before you submit the parcel.

FAQ

Sneakers: questions people ask

How do I pick a size from a China spreadsheet?

Use the seller's size chart in centimetres rather than your usual US or EU number, measure your foot, and read the listing's notes — some sellers say a model runs small. When unsure, message the seller through your agent before you pay.

Can I ask for more QC photos of sneakers?

Usually yes. Agents photograph every item when it arrives and most offer extra detail photos, sometimes for a small fee. Ask for the angles you care about — the heel, the toe box, the sole.

Should I ship sneakers with the box?

Only if you want it. The box adds volume, and freight is often priced on volume. Shipping without it, or with it folded, is the usual way to keep the parcel small.
